Atos has launched its Threat Research Center (TRC), which the company describes as a “next generation intelligence hub” intended to deliver earlier and more actionable threat intelligence to support cyber resilience and proactive defense.
According to Atos, the TRC consolidates multiple functions into a single capability: threat intelligence research, threat actor monitoring, vulnerability intelligence, and AI-powered orchestration and automation. The company says the center also combines OT and IT vulnerabilities research across hardware, software, and network layers, and is aimed at supporting customers in industries including healthcare, life sciences, telecommunications, utilities, and manufacturing.
Atos says the TRC is designed to feed “globally aligned, actionable intelligence” to Atos security operations centers (SOCs) and to strengthen its Threat Detection Investigation and Response (TDIR). In practical terms, the company claims this approach will help security operations teams identify emerging vulnerabilities earlier, prioritize remediation faster, and reduce exposure windows by adding intelligence on threat actor behavior and emerging campaigns.
Atos also positions the TRC as a way to improve signal-to-noise by focusing on “verified, high impact threats,” with the stated goal of strengthening detection quality and accelerating incident response through prioritization of “real world threats” most relevant to customers.
“Atos Threat Research Center is a centralized powerhouse leading to a stronger, intelligence-led security posture supported by world-class researchers and cutting-edge technology,” said Günter Koinegg, global head of Cybersecurity Services at Atos. “With this advanced capability, Atos ensures that its customers benefit not only from robust security operations today, but also from the forward-looking visibility required to defend against tomorrow’s most advanced cyber threats.”
In the same announcement, Atos provided current scale metrics for its cybersecurity business, including “more than 6,500 experts,” “205 cybersecurity patents,” “17 security operations centers (SOCs),” “more than 31 billion security events per day,” and “over 2,000 trusted customers.” It also reiterated that cybersecurity services are delivered under the Atos brand, while cybersecurity products are delivered under the Eviden brand.
