Integrated Power Services (IPS) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire TechPro Power Group, Inc. (TechPro), aiming to enhance its technical expertise and service offering for power management across mission-critical sectors, including data centers. IPS reports that by combining its workforce with TechPro, it will have a total of 2,200 technicians and engineers, increasing both technical depth and geographic footprint.
TechPro Power Group, founded in 2017, includes Potomac Testing, Sentinel Power Services, Sentinel-TDS, TDS Equipment, and Electric Power Inc. According to IPS, TechPro brings a dense team of NETA-certified professionals focused on every stage of the asset lifecycle for power management systems. This acquisition, IPS notes, is designed to improve its integrated solutions for complex power management and electromechanical service challenges as electrical demand rises across data centers and other mission-critical environments.
TechPro’s capabilities target data centers, utilities, power generation, manufacturing, oil and gas, healthcare, commercial buildings, education, and government facilities. IPS states that TechPro is trusted by customers for maintaining code compliance, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safety during maintenance and commissioning processes.
“Acquiring TechPro accelerates IPS’ vision to be a leading national platform offering a complete lifecycle of critical repair, field service, and replacement solutions for the equipment that both delivers and consumes power in our customers’ facilities,” said Elliott Weinstein, Partner at Searchlight Capital Partners and Chairman of the Board of Directors for IPS.
IPS operates an independent aftermarket service network focused on repair, field service, and equipment replacement for power delivery and consumption equipment in North America, the United Kingdom, and the Caribbean. TechPro’s integration is expected, IPS reports, to provide customers with broader access to technical expertise and expanded service offerings across regions relevant to the data center industry and other critical sectors.
