SuperX unveils 800VDC power solutions for high-density AI data centers

SuperX AI Technology has announced the launch of its first two flagship 800 Volt Direct Current (800VDC) power products via its joint venture, SuperX Digital Power Pte. Ltd., with Zhonhen Electric. The new offerings—SuperX Panama-800VDC end-to-end solution and SuperX Aurora-800VDC retrofit solution—target both new and existing data centers supporting hyperscale artificial intelligence (AI) and high-density GPU deployments.

The SuperX Panama-800VDC solution is designed for new-build AI hyperscale data centers. It delivers a pure DC power path from the medium-voltage grid to the GPU, integrating medium-voltage switchgear, phase-shifting transformers, and 800V rectifier cabinets in a streamlined, one-step power delivery system. Technical highlights include ultra-high power density, up to 98.5 percent efficiency, modular hot-swappable components for online maintenance, prefabricated deployment for rapid installation, and scalability to over 1 MW per rack.

The SuperX Aurora-800VDC solution targets retrofit scenarios in operational data centers. Aurora allows modular, customized upgrades without the need to rebuild main distribution rooms or trunk lines. Upgrades can be completed at the rack level within hours. The system supports scalable configurations from 200 kW up to more than 1 MW, facilitating transitions and optimizing for data centers deploying next-generation GPU clusters at scale.

Both Panama and Aurora employ a direct current (DC)-to-chip model that reduces power conversion stages from up to five down to one or two, which SuperX reports yields up to 98.5 percent system efficiency. Key technical benefits include mitigation of transient current peaks via built-in energy storage and intelligent power regulation interfaces, over 45 percent reduction in copper usage due to decreased cable sizes, high conversion efficiency thanks to gallium nitride (GaN) and silicon carbide (SiC) power devices with LLC resonant conversion, and support for high-density racks exceeding 3.6 MW by eliminating redundant uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and power distribution units (PDU).

According to SuperX, both solutions are fully compatible with NVIDIA Kyber rack architectures. Kenny Sng, Chief Technology Officer of SuperX AI Technology, said, “We’re not only addressing today’s power bottlenecks. We’re building the sustainable energy foundation for next-generation AI infrastructure,” and added, “With Panama and Aurora, SuperX has achieved a true Compute + Cooling + Power tri-stack capability. Whether building greenfield or retrofitting brownfield data centers, our customers gain a high-efficiency, reliable, and low-carbon compute infrastructure—end to end.”

Headquartered in Singapore, SuperX offers a portfolio of AI data center solutions including hardware, software, integration, and operations services. SuperX Digital Power, the joint venture, is co-owned by a SuperX subsidiary and Enervell Power, a subsidiary of Hangzhou Zhonhen Electric.
