Toshiba International Corporation has announced the launch of its 3000 SP Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) series, with availability scheduled for customer delivery in September 2025. The 3000 SP UPS targets modular power requirements across edge data centers, enterprise IT, and commercial environments, according to Toshiba.
The 3000 SP UPS is designed around a 30-unit (30U) rack and features eight universal shelves that can accommodate either power or battery modules. The unit supports both 60 Hz and 50 Hz power, as well as 240/120 V and 208/120 V applications. Offered in 6 kW, 12 kW, 18 kW, and 24 kW capacities, the system supports N+X redundancy and features hot-swappable modules.
Key technical specifications include a unity power factor (where kilovolt-amperes equal kilowatts), online efficiency of 91 percent, and up to 98 percent efficiency in ECO mode. Runtime is approximately seven minutes at full load when using the internal VRLA (Valve-Regulated Lead-Acid) batteries. The UPS operates in ambient temperatures from zero to 40 degrees Celsius and is certified to multiple standards, including UL 1778, IEC/EN62040-1, RoHS, NEMA 1, and FCC Class A.
For ease of operation and monitoring, the 3000 SP is equipped with a 10-inch color touchscreen human-machine interface (HMI) and integrates a RemotEye 5 Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) monitoring card. This card enables remote management via LAN or WAN, supports a one gigabit-per-second interface, dual stack protocol support, embedded web monitoring, industrial protocol compatibility, automated email alerts, data logging, and analytics.
Toshiba reports the UPS is supported by a three-year onsite warranty (with factory startup required) and is backed by a network of international service providers. The company highlights applications in modular and edge data centers, enterprise IT, commercial, and retail spaces, and notes that its UPS solutions are also used in industrial and utility settings.
