Prometheus Hyperscale has announced a partnership with Conduit Power to deliver hybrid bridge and backup power solutions for hyperscale data center builds, co-located at carbon-free energy facilities operated by ENGIE in Texas. The companies claim this approach is designed to provide reliable, sustainable, and scalable infrastructure for new data center deployments.
According to the announcement, Conduit Power’s hybrid solution—developed jointly with Gruppo AB—combines gas-powered generation and battery storage. This integrated model focuses on maximizing uptime, minimizing carbon footprint, and accelerating deployment for hyperscale operators. Prometheus Hyperscale plans to implement the hybrid model for near-term bridging and backup applications at up to 300 megawatts per site in its next-generation Texas data centers.
The first data center facility under this partnership is targeted to go online in 2026, with additional locations anticipated in 2027 and beyond. The partnership specifically targets hyperscale data center projects and related AI compute requirements, as referenced in the announcement.
Trenton Thornock, Co-Founder and CEO of Prometheus Hyperscale, said, “This partnership reflects our commitment to building the infrastructure AI needs—fast, clean, and at scale,” adding that the collaboration is intended to set a new standard for sustainable hyperscale development.
Matt Herpich, CEO of Conduit Power, stated, “We couldn’t be more excited to extend our proven low-carbon power solutions and capabilities from the energy industry into the fast-growing world of datacenters,” and emphasized that the partnership aims to power digital infrastructure with speed, confidence, and sustainability.
