Trane Technologies completes acquisition of LiquidStack to expand data center liquid cooling solutions

Trane Technologies has completed its acquisition of LiquidStack, a liquid-cooling technology provider for data centers headquartered in Carrollton, Texas. Trane Technologies says the deal expands its thermal-management portfolio for mission-critical operations and positions it to scale LiquidStack’s technology globally. The acquisition was previously announced on February 10, 2026.

Trane Technologies says the combined offering will focus on integrated data center cooling that “scale from the central plant to the chip” and can adapt as data center performance demands change. The company describes the combined platform as aimed at sustainable, high-density, mission-critical cooling.

LiquidStack’s product scope in the announcement includes high-density liquid cooling, direct-to-chip cooling, and immersion cooling. Trane Technologies says it will pair these with its “end-to-end thermal management expertise” to offer what it describes as a comprehensive and adaptable set of thermal-management solutions for customers running higher-power-density workloads, including AI-driven workloads.

“AI‑driven workloads are pushing power densities higher than ever before,” said Holly Paeper, President, Commercial HVAC Americas, Trane Technologies. “Customers need solutions that keep pace with these demands in a way that improves efficiency, reliability and sustainability. By combining Trane Technologies’ end‑to‑end thermal management expertise with LiquidStack’s advanced high-density liquid, direct‑to‑chip, and immersion cooling solutions, we will be uniquely positioned to deliver one of the most comprehensive and adaptable suites of thermal management solutions in the market. We’re delighted to welcome the LiquidStack team to Trane Technologies and accelerate our work and impact together.”
