Tsecond has announced BRYCK Block, its new modular, fault-tolerant 128 TB U.2 NVMe triple-level cell (TLC) solid-state drive (SSD), targeting edge infrastructure, AI-powered data systems, and data center deployments requiring high-capacity, rugged storage in demanding environments. The company claims BRYCK Block addresses requirements for AI-driven decision-making, secure edge computing, and real-time operations, particularly for defense, aerospace, industrial, critical infrastructure, and enterprise use cases.
In edge data center environments, BRYCK Block supports high-density NVMe storage in 1U, 2U, or 4U server setups, providing scalable solutions from terabytes to petabytes. Tsecond says customers can deploy BRYCK Block in 8- to 24-bay arrays, achieving up to 1 PB of fault-tolerant storage in a 1U chassis or 3 PB in a 2U configuration. The platform is fully compatible with U.2 rugged and enterprise systems, enabling drop-in expansion without architecture changes.
Additional use cases cited by Tsecond include real-time operations for AI-enabled platforms, surveillance systems, autonomous vehicles, robotics, energy management, and remote industrial automation—especially in scenarios where data latency, system survivability, and bandwidth are crucial.
“As national security and critical infrastructure move closer to the edge, the need for secure, fault-tolerant data systems becomes non-negotiable,” said Dr. Raj Iyer, president of global public sector markets at Tsecond. “BRYCK Block is a foundational technology for field operations — enabling real-time decision-making, system survivability, and secure data mobility in the world’s most contested and bandwidth-constrained environments.”
“BRYCK Block introduces a completely new architectural model for SSDs,” added Manavalan Krishnan, CTO of Tsecond. “We designed it to be highly scalable and modular for decision-making at the edge — enabling real-time analytics, inferencing, and secure data mobility in environments where infrastructure is constrained and latency is mission-critical.”
BRYCK Block is currently available to early access partners, with general availability scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025. Tsecond is working with federal integrators, system original equipment manufacturers, and enterprise infrastructure vendors for product validation and deployment.
