ASUS has added Intel Core 200S Series processor support across its AIoT and embedded portfolio, spanning industrial motherboards, configurable turnkey-to-order (CTOS) embedded systems, and rugged edge AI computers. The move targets edge AI deployments that need a longer-lived CPU platform with current-gen I/O and memory support.
Intel’s Core 200S Series for embedded and industrial use is based on the LGA 1700 socket and a performance hybrid architecture. ASUS notes that customers upgrading existing Intel 600 series-based systems can do so with a BIOS update, while gaining access to configurations with up to 24 cores and 32 threads, PCIe 5.0 connectivity, and DDR5-5600 memory support.
For data center and edge infrastructure teams, the practical implication is straightforward: a socket- and chipset-aligned refresh can reduce redesign work in embedded racks, cabinets, and vehicle platforms, while still moving to higher core counts and newer expansion options. But the real gating items in the field are usually qualification effort and lifecycle management, not peak specs.
On the ruggedization side, ASUS describes designs intended for industrial and commercial environments, including wide operating temperature and voltage ranges and resistance to shock and vibration up to 5 GRMS. For mobile and transportation use cases, ASUS also highlights in-vehicle platforms with 8–48 volt wide-range DC input and built-in ignition power control.
ASUS also stated a long-term availability target, with supply planned through 2035, aimed at extended deployment lifecycles in commercial and industrial settings.
ASUS listed the following product families as now available with Intel Core 200S Series processor support: industrial motherboards (H610T-EM-A, H610I-IM-A, H610I-EM-A, R680EI-IM-A, Q670EI-IM-A, H610M-IM-A, R680EM-IM-A, Q670EM-IM-A, Q670M-EM-A, H610A-IM-A, R680EA-IM-A, Q670EA-IM-A, and R680EA-IM-Z), CTOS embedded systems (EBS-I10, EB-ITX-B, EBS-A700, EBS-A710, MDS-M700, EBS-2U300, EBS-4U, EBS-4U500, EBS-4U700, EBS-4U900, EBS-4U1000, EBS-5U500, and EBS-6U700), and edge AI computers (PE8000G, PE6000G, PE4000G, and PE5101D).
