CPI ships universal-input rack PDUs and a sensor array for high-density data centers

Chatsworth Products (CPI) has announced two new data center infrastructure products: eConnect Universal Input Power Distribution Units (PDUs) and the eConnect Sensor Array. CPI positions the launch as a way to improve deployment flexibility and increase rack-level and room-level visibility for high-density and distributed IT environments, specifically targeting power variability and limited rack-level insight.

The eConnect Universal Input PDUs are designed for mixed-voltage, multi-region deployments. CPI says the units support detachable input cords to match global power standards, aiming to enable consistent worldwide deployment and reduce stock keeping unit (SKU) complexity. CPI also calls out modular configurations and monitoring, with support for AI and high-performance computing power densities up to 34.5 kW using 30 A branch circuits.

“eConnect® Universal Input PDUs give medium to large enterprises and multi-tenant data centers the flexibility to deploy consistent power strategies across sites while remaining ready for future growth,” said Ashish Moondra, Senior Director of Electronics and Software, Chatsworth Products. “It’s about simplifying global deployment while supporting the realities of modern, high-density IT.”

The eConnect Sensor Array extends the eConnect power platform with modular hubs and connected sensors for temperature, humidity, access, and leak detection. CPI says it provides real-time environmental monitoring at the cabinet and room level, including cabinet-level monitoring of temperature, humidity, leaks, door status, and access events. CPI also reports the sensor array is designed to integrate with CPI eConnect PDUs, cabinets, data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software, and access control systems to create a unified monitoring ecosystem and reduce installation complexity.

CPI says eConnect Universal Input PDUs and the eConnect Sensor Array are available worldwide through its authorized distribution and partner network.
