d-Matrix has acquired Wallaroo.ai, adding AI inference deployment and orchestration software to its data center inference stack. The deal also brings Wallaroo.ai’s technology platform, intellectual property, and engineering talent into d-Matrix.
It’s d-Matrix’s second acquisition in four months, following its purchase of GigaIO’s data center business in April. With Wallaroo.ai folded in, d-Matrix is aiming to offer an end-to-end inference platform that spans silicon through deployment software, with support for scaling from single-server nodes to multi-rack deployments in the data center.
For data center operators, the practical implication is that inference acceleration isn’t only a hardware problem once you start mixing GPUs and other accelerators. Heterogeneous inference stacks can run into real operational friction—deployment workflows, upgrades, and day-two operations can become the bottleneck even when the silicon is fast.
“Our customers are deploying AI inference across increasingly complex, heterogeneous environments—and they’ve told us the biggest barrier isn’t just performance, it’s also the operational complexity of getting there,” said Sid Sheth, founder and CEO of d-Matrix. “By integrating deployment and orchestration software directly into our stack, we’re giving customers the simplest, fastest path from evaluation to production-scale inference.”
d-Matrix said Wallaroo.ai team members joining include engineering, product, and go-to-market staff, with experience spanning software architecture, high-performance computing, Kubernetes operations, and AI inference systems.
The company also said its flagship Corsair inference platform is in full production and shipping to priority customers. In early July, d-Matrix and Parasail said Corsair was deployed alongside NVIDIA Hopper and Blackwell GPU architectures in Parasail’s cloud data center.
