Duos Edge AI and FiberLight expand edge data center deployments in Texas

Duos Technologies Group, through its subsidiary Duos Edge AI, has announced an expanded partnership with FiberLight to accelerate the rollout of modular edge data centers in Texas and other US regions. According to Duos Edge AI, the collaboration will leverage FiberLight’s fiber optic network connectivity with the rapid deployment capabilities of its edge data centers.

The companies state that Duos Edge AI’s edge data centers are modular, SOC 2 Type II compliant, and designed for rapid deployment, energy efficiency, and high availability. Typical site deployment can be completed in 90 days, providing 100 kW or more per cabinet as claimed by Duos Edge AI. These installations aim to position the data centers within 12 miles of end users or devices, supporting low-latency compute needs for markets including data centers, education, healthcare, enterprise, and AI applications.

FiberLight brings approximately 75 route miles of regional fiber infrastructure in Corpus Christi, and more than 13,000 route miles throughout Texas, directly connecting to major metro areas such as San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Houston, McAllen, Laredo, and El Paso. The companies report this will support fast and reliable connections for both rural and urban communities.

The companies describe a recent deployment in Corpus Christi, where Duos Edge AI and FiberLight jointly delivered a new edge data center to reestablish FiberLight’s primary point of presence just 30 feet from existing infrastructure. This project reportedly eliminated the need for more than 2,000 feet of new construction and reduced downtime for local customers through expedited permitting and installation.

Duos Edge AI states it is on track to contract 15 edge data centers by the end of 2025, with current projects in Texas and additional deployments planned for the Midwest and Southeastern US. The expanded partnership is designed to enable joint site selection, connectivity, and turnkey deployments in areas with high demand for edge compute infrastructure.

“The Corpus Christi project shows how Duos Edge AI brings more than just edge data center capabilities; they add real value for our customers by helping us deliver innovative infrastructure solutions quickly and efficiently,” said Tyler Coates, Chief Revenue Officer at FiberLight. “Together, we’re expanding our reach, enhancing service delivery, and driving the next wave of innovation and economic development.”
