Edgecore Networks, with partner Deca Consulting, has announced the completed upgrade of IPNexia’s data center network to an automated, SONiC-based spine-leaf architecture. Edgecore says the change replaces aging hardware and vendor-locked infrastructure with an open networking design intended to improve scalability and operational automation for IPNexia’s more than 3,000 enterprise customers in Belgium.
According to the announcement, IPNexia rebuilt its backbone network around a modern spine-leaf topology designed for predictable low-latency performance. Edgecore says the design uses a fully non-blocking 100G fabric to remove traditional aggregation bottlenecks and to support horizontal scaling.
Edgecore reports that IPNexia deployed Edgecore Enterprise Switches running Broadcom’s Enterprise SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud). The companies say this combination is intended to provide “enterprise-grade stability” while eliminating vendor lock-in and allowing IPNexia to adapt the network as requirements change.
The update also emphasizes automation-first operations. Edgecore says IPNexia reduced deployment time using zero-touch provisioning (ZTP) plus NetBox-driven Ansible workflows, with support for Infrastructure-as-Code and version-controlled network configuration.
Edgecore says the resulting platform is designed to support multi-tenant services, high-bandwidth applications, and future expansion without service disruption. The announcement also credits Deca Consulting with end-to-end engagement, including design expertise, deployment support, and knowledge transfer.
