Insyde qualifies UEFI and OpenBMC firmware for Arm AGI CPU platforms

Insyde Software has qualified its InsydeH2O UEFI firmware on Arm AGI CPU reference platforms, targeting platform developers building agentic AI infrastructure on Arm-based server designs. The company also said it has readied a production-verified build of its Supervyse OPF OpenBMC firmware for Arm AGI CPU-based AI server racks.

The qualification centers on Arm’s AGI CPU reference board platforms, with Insyde pointing to UEFI compliance, platform security, and manageability features aimed at high-density AI compute workloads. Insyde also said its firmware work builds on integration with the Arm Fixed Virtual Platform, which it describes as providing early access for evaluations.

For data center operators and system builders, firmware maturity can be a gating item for bring-up, validation, and fleet operations—especially when new CPU platforms are being paired with accelerators and rack-scale management requirements. Having UEFI and OpenBMC implementations already validated on a reference platform can reduce friction during early system integration, but the real proof will be how smoothly those images carry over to production server designs from ODMs and OEMs.

Insyde also quoted Jonathan Joseph, co-founder and chief operating officer, saying, “Working closely with Arm for the AGI CPU firmware is a natural extension of what Insyde has always done, investing in the platforms that define the next era of AI.”

Insyde Software did not provide availability, pricing, or specific platform partner designs in the information it shared.
