Vertiv has announced Vertiv Next Predict, an artificial intelligence-powered managed service designed to shift data center maintenance from time-based and reactive models to predictive operations. Vertiv says the service analyzes asset behavior to identify risks earlier and provide predictive intelligence across power, cooling, and information technology systems, targeting modern data centers and AI factories.
Vertiv says Vertiv Next Predict uses AI-based anomaly detection to continuously analyze operating conditions and flag deviations from expected behavior at an early stage. It also uses a predictive algorithm to assess potential operational impact, determine risk, and prioritize response. Vertiv says the workflow includes root cause analysis to isolate contributing factors, followed by prescriptive actions defined from system data and operational context; corrective measures are performed by qualified Vertiv Services personnel.
“Data center operators need innovative technologies to stay ahead of potential risks, as compute intensity rises and infrastructures evolve,” said Ryan Jarvis, vice president of the global services business unit at Vertiv. “Vertiv Next Predict helps data centers unlock uptime, shifting maintenance from traditional calendar-based routines to a proactive, data-driven strategy. We move from assumptions to informed decisions, by continuously monitoring equipment condition and enabling risk mitigation before potential impacts to operations.”
Vertiv says the managed service currently supports a broad and expanding range of Vertiv power and cooling platforms, including battery energy storage solutions (BESS) and liquid cooling components. Vertiv also positions the service as scalable, with an architecture intended to integrate future data center technologies as part of a unified “grid-to-chip” service architecture.
Vertiv also points to its broader services organization, citing decades of experience in critical digital infrastructure, a global network of Vertiv-trained technicians, and AI-powered analytics. In the same announcement, it directs customers to Vertiv end-to-end power and thermal management offerings, including Vertiv OneCore (a scalable prefabricated data center infrastructure solution) and Vertiv SmartRun (a modular overhead IT infrastructure system), as well as its portfolio for AI and high-density workloads.
