Vertiv launches OneCore prefabricated system for data center buildouts

Vertiv has announced the global availability of Vertiv OneCore, a prefabricated, factory-assembled solution that integrates power, thermal, and IT infrastructure to accelerate deployment of high-density data centers. According to Vertiv, OneCore is designed to streamline installation, minimize on-site work, and reduce project timelines for enterprise, colocation, sovereign, and neocloud data center projects.

Vertiv reports that OneCore uses a unified, slab-up, turnkey approach, providing a single point of contact from design through ready-for-operation. The system employs prefabricated building blocks—including whitespace fit-outs such as Vertiv SmartRun, contained in a steel shell—to support consistent quality and predictable schedules across deployments. The solution incorporates Vertiv Unify for centralized management and system visibility.

Key technical details highlighted by Vertiv include scalability from 5 to 50 MW in a single block, support for 96 to 944 racks at a range of densities, and integrated power and thermal management. The platform offers modular electrical and mechanical designs, concurrent maintainability for electrical and thermal systems, and operates in ambient temperatures ranging from -20°C to 55°C. Redundant primary and secondary fluid networks and distributed electrical redundancy are available.

OneCore accepts 11 to 35 kV medium voltage and 400 to 480 V three-phase AC power inputs for broad regional compatibility. Included infrastructure components feature Vertiv Trinergy UPS systems, switchgear, busways, and CoolLoop Trim Cooler for liquid cooling and advanced heat rejection. Vertiv’s global service team supports commissioning, proactive maintenance, and rapid response for operational continuity.

“Vertiv OneCore is our answer to the need for reducing complexity and enabling speed in building data center capacity at scale,” said Viktor Petik, senior vice president of infrastructure solutions at Vertiv. “We know the challenge isn’t just designing for today’s needs but building an adaptable foundation for the future. This solution reduces project complexity by standardizing key components while preserving the flexibility to scale and evolve, expand easily, and integrate new technologies as business and IT requirements evolve.”

Vertiv also notes the system’s flexible design and efficiency features can support customers’ sustainability initiatives through lower energy requirements and adaptability to future technology standards.
