IP Infusion OcNOS supports IzarLink data center core modernization in southern France

IP Infusion has announced that IzarLink, a French regional telecommunications operator, has deployed IP Infusion’s OcNOS network operating system to modernize its data center core network across southern France, working with system integrator Pine Networks. IP Infusion says the project is intended to deliver carrier-grade scalability while reducing vendor lock-in and long-term total cost of ownership (TCO).

According to IP Infusion, IzarLink selected OcNOS to run a resilient Ethernet Virtual Private Network (EVPN) and Virtual Extensible Local Area Network (VXLAN) core that interconnects data centers and peering locations. The deployment aggregates 25G access into a redundant 100G core and supports Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), multi-homing, and real-time streaming telemetry. IP Infusion says OcNOS is delivered via a simple licensing model and is designed to provide hardware independence and carrier-grade stability.

“Our priority is delivering digital infrastructure that our customers can depend on, and that meets the highest regulatory standards, including ISO 27001 and HDS certification for health data,” said Alexis Guirlé, CEO of IzarLink. “IP Infusion OcNOS provided the technical depth and improved network economics that enabled us to timely upgrade our data center core with future-proof scale, security, and resilience.”

Pine Networks managed the integration, with the press release noting a transition that maintained compatibility with IzarLink’s existing Cisco and MikroTik infrastructure. “Our role was to translate that vision into a production-ready deployment, combining local expertise with OcNOS to deliver a resilient, future-proof data center core,“ said Hadi Choueiry, General Manager of Pine Networks.
