CAMS has launched CAMS Digital Solutions, a digital solutions platform aimed at helping data center developers and infrastructure partners secure and operate dedicated power. The company is targeting what it describes as a coming period of expanded US electricity demand driven in part by data center buildouts.
The CAMS Digital Solutions platform is organized around services that span development through operations. CAMS lists strategic advisory and technical support for project development and structuring, including site selection, land and environmental permitting, construction oversight, and accounting. On the operations side, it includes operational readiness, asset management, and performance optimization services, plus ongoing operational support focused on reliability, efficiency, and uptime. CAMS also lists “integration support between power infrastructure and data center requirements,” positioning the platform as a bridge between generation-side work and data center operational constraints.
For data center teams, the practical takeaway is that CAMS is packaging power-generation lifecycle capabilities into a dedicated offer built around the way data center projects actually get delivered: early-stage siting and permitting decisions, construction execution, and then long-duration operations where reliability and availability expectations are unforgiving. But the details that typically determine whether a power partner is a fit—generation technologies supported, contracting models, commissioning approach, and how performance optimization is measured—aren’t spelled out here, so operators will need to validate scope in diligence.
CAMS said the platform will be led by Dan Consie, Executive Vice President, Digital Solutions. CAMS describes Consie as a 35-year veteran of the power generation industry with executive and corporate officer roles spanning asset management and operations and maintenance, and says he holds a mechanical engineering degree from the US Naval Academy.
