Fluke Networks has announced CertiFiber Max, which it describes as the industry’s first third-generation optical loss test set (OLTS) for high-density data center fiber certification. Built on the Versiv platform and integrated with LinkWare, the company says CertiFiber Max can certify up to 24 fibers in under one second, targeting faster test and acceptance workflows as fiber counts increase.
The tool is for contractors and technicians working in dense fiber builds where existing testers may limit fiber counts or require fan-out cables and adapters that add steps and error risk. The company says CertiFiber Max is designed to test and certify complex fiber systems quickly and accurately as performance margins tighten in high-density data center environments.
CertiFiber Max uses field-replaceable UniPort adapters intended to provide “faster testing, greater accuracy, and long-term flexibility,” according to Fluke Networks. The company says the adapters provide native support for 12, 16, and 24 multi-fiber push-on (MPO) connectors, plus 16 and 24 MMC multi-fiber connectors, including pinned and unpinned configurations. Fluke Networks also says UniPort adapters connect directly to current and emerging connector types, protect tester ports from damage, and support in-field upgrades and replacement to extend the tester lifecycle.
The company says the solution measures loss, length, and polarity across multiple fibers in under a second, and that it improves accuracy using the standards-recommended and manufacturer-preferred one-jumper reference method.
“CertiFiber Max reflects our belief that trust in data center operations starts at the physical layer,” said Vineet Thuvara, Chief Product Officer at Fluke Corporation. “Built on the proven Versiv platform trusted by thousands of certified technicians for more than a decade, it delivers native 24-fiber support giving teams the confidence to deploy and certify the high-density networks powering AI and cloud technologies at scale.”
“Using high-performance TMT (three-row mechanical transfer) ferrule technology, MMC delivers triple the density of MPO connectors and offers mass-insertion solutions that accelerate deployment in today’s high-density networks,” said Charlie Stroup, Applications Engineering Manager at US Conec. “As MMC deployments continue to expand rapidly, Fluke’s CertiFiber Max plays a critical role in supporting a robust MMC ecosystem, delivering reliable testing for next-generation AI networks.”
