Fujitsu, 1Finity, and Arrcus partner to address data center networking for AI workloads

Fujitsu, its subsidiary 1Finity, and networking software provider Arrcus have signed a strategic partnership to deliver next-generation networking solutions focused on data center and AI infrastructure in Japan and globally. The companies announced that their collaboration aims to address the rapid growth of AI-driven data traffic and the corresponding demand for robust, flexible, and cost-effective network infrastructure connecting data centers, cloud services, and edge environments.

Arrcus supplies advanced routing and switching platforms built on Ethernet networking technology. Its Network Operating System (OS) software is designed to operate uniformly across data center clusters, from edge to multi-cloud environments. The software enables rapid deployment, centralized management, and runs entirely on industry-standard “white box” components without the need for proprietary hardware. According to the announcement, Arrcus notes its customers have achieved over 40% reduction in total cost of ownership across various networking use cases by deploying this solution.

Under the terms of the partnership, 1Finity will distribute the entire Arrcus product portfolio and develop global go-to-market plans, with a primary focus on Japan. Target customers include network operators, enterprise clients, and data center operators. The partnership also involves jointly providing comprehensive network solutions, from design through maintenance and operations, via managed service offerings.

In addition to commercial collaboration, Fujitsu will utilize its global customer base to deploy what it calls flexible and scalable solutions responsive to evolving networking needs. The approach combines the Arrcus software stack with Fujitsu’s AI services and computing technologies, targeting the role of next-generation infrastructure service provider, according to the companies.

“Flexible networks that combine innovation in software, silicon, and optics are of critical importance for AI data centers and 5G/6G connected inference edges,” said Shekar Ayyar, Chairman and CEO at Arrcus Inc.

Masaaki Moribayashi, Corporate Executive Officer, Fujitsu Limited, Representative Director, CEO, 1Finity Inc., said: “Arrcus’s products, including its Network OS Software, are innovative and offer exceptional performance which will help us to provide optimal network solutions and meet our customers’ needs.”
