AEWIN launches BIS-5132 2U data center servers with Intel Xeon 6 processors and scalable PCIe Gen5 expansion

AEWIN has introduced the BIS-5132-2U, a 2U general-purpose server utilizing Intel Xeon 6700 and 6500-series processors built on Intel 3 process technology. The system is designed to support high compute density, making it suitable for data center and demanding IT workloads.

The BIS-5132-2U supports a single Intel Xeon 6700 or 6500-series CPU, offering configurations with up to 86 performance cores or 144 efficiency cores. Memory capabilities include eight DDR5 RDIMM slots supporting speeds up to 6400 MT/s. Storage is addressed with 12 large form factor (3.5-inch) drive bays, two rear 2.5-inch SSD bays, and dual PCIe Gen5 M.2 2280/22110 NVMe SSD slots for boot devices.

For network and expansion requirements, AEWIN reports the system provides up to eight PCIe Gen5 expansion slots enabled by the Granite Rapids-SP RIS architecture. This allows integration of high-throughput network interface cards, adapters for high-speed NVMe solid-state drives, and GPU or FPGA accelerators. Dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports powered by the Intel E610 controller, along with a 1 Gigabit management port via the AST2600, are integrated for data and management connectivity.

The server maintains a chassis depth of 670 mm to facilitate installation in data center racks or environments with space constraints. AEWIN notes that mechanical customization is available to support dual-width PCIe Gen5 x16 slots, addressing specialized hardware requirements in high-performance computing and data center contexts.
