Envalior highlights 800V DC-ready materials for data center components at Fakuma 2026

Envalior is bringing a set of engineering thermoplastics and application examples aimed at data center power distribution, connectivity, and cooling components to Fakuma 2026 in Friedrichshafen, Germany. The materials are positioned for parts that are being pushed harder by higher power density, higher operating temperatures, and shifts in power architecture, including 800 V DC systems.

On the power side, Envalior is highlighting multiple connector and switchgear use cases. The company lists busbar connectors built with Akulon PA66, Pocan PBT, or Xytron PPS, along with board-level connectors using TÜV-certified ForTii T11 PPA. For 800 V DC connectors specifically, Envalior points to Pocan PBT with CTI 600.

For DC switching, Envalior is showing switchgear arc chambers made with Stanyl CR310 PA46, targeting “DC-ready” arc-quenching behavior as operators evaluate 800 V DC distribution. Envalior also calls out a heat deflection temperature HDT(A) of 290 °C for Stanyl CR310 PA46, comparing it to standard PA66. Switchgear enclosures are also part of the display, with ForTii C11F PA4T PPA used to support injection molding for faster production.

Cooling hardware is another focus area. Envalior lists fan blades and housings made with Xytron PPS for heat resistance and dimensional stability, plus ultrathin fan stator insulation using Stanyl PA46, which it says supports higher torque density. For liquid cooling, Envalior is pointing to Xytron PPS in core components “from server-level cold plates to rack-level distribution,” citing corrosion resistance and low ion leaching as properties aimed at maintaining coolant conductivity and reducing maintenance.

The practical takeaway for data center engineers is that these aren’t new cooling or power architectures, they’re materials choices for the parts that tend to fail first when voltages and temperatures climb: connectors, insulation systems, fan assemblies, and switchgear internals. If the industry does move more load to higher-voltage DC distribution, polymer performance in tracking resistance, heat deflection, and dimensional stability stops being a datasheet detail and starts showing up in real uptime risk.

“When looking at the impact of changes, such as the shift to 800V DC power infrastructure, the effects across the system mean specialized solutions are required to match the mechanical, thermal, and electrical profile in each case,” said Martin Burg, Advanced Development Expert at Envalior.

Envalior is also promoting its 360 Innovation Services offering, which it describes as support spanning materials selection, testing, simulation, computer-aided engineering modeling, AI-powered tools, and sustainability consulting.

Envalior also referenced its Material Advisor tool for digital material selection and evaluation.
