Flexential expands data center interconnection mesh for scalable, multi-site connectivity across FlexAnywhere platform

Flexential has announced the expansion of its FlexAnywhere platform by deploying Interconnection Mesh across its software-defined Flexential Fabric. The new offering allows data center customers to provision scalable multipoint connectivity over a single port, with self-service management via the Flexential Xperience Portal. According to Flexential, this approach is designed to help organizations manage distributed digital infrastructure more efficiently and reduce operational complexity.

Interconnection Mesh provides multi-site, any-to-any network connectivity within Flexential’s portfolio. Customers can create and scale highly redundant networks between multiple sites without manual configurations, gaining instant access to all other ports on the mesh. The service supports both Layer 2 and Layer 3 network options, enabling users to choose the level of control and routing management required for their environments.

The platform’s fabric-based delivery model focuses on standardized services, API-level automation, and unified management, which Flexential claims can shorten deployment timelines and improve consistency in network performance. This addition builds on Flexential Fabric’s existing IP Bandwidth and Data Center Interconnect solutions, forming a broader suite of infrastructure options for colocation and hyperscale operators deploying distributed architectures.

The Interconnection Mesh is integrated with FlexAnywhere, a platform that unifies colocation, cloud, interconnection, data protection, and professional services across more than 40 data centers in 18 markets, interconnected via a scalable private backbone exceeding 100 Gbps. The solution is intended to provide rapid infrastructure expansion and real-time network control without the need for additional physical circuits.

Ryan Mallory, President and Chief Operating Officer at Flexential, said, “By making Flexential Interconnection Mesh available through Flexential Fabric, we’re giving customers direct control over multi-site connectivity without the operational overhead of managing multiple circuits,” Mallory added, “It’s a practical solution to the complexity organizations face when scaling distributed infrastructure, and it’s another step forward in our commitment to deliver intelligent, software-defined connectivity.”

This initiative follows recent expansions in Flexential’s infrastructure offerings, including integration with the Bifrost subsea cable, a partnership with Lumen Technologies to combine Network-as-a-Service with FlexAnywhere, and the rollout of solutions such as CloudOps Foundations, FinOps for Public Cloud, and the Security and Optimization Program.
