Skanska has announced it will build a new data center in the United States under a contract valued at $256 million. This contract will be reflected in Skanska’s US order bookings for the fourth quarter of 2025.

The scope of work includes constructing the main data center building shell, completing interior fit-outs for technical spaces, and delivering support areas and office functions. According to Skanska, construction is set to begin in the first quarter of 2026 and is planned for completion in the third quarter of 2027.

Skanska has not disclosed further specifications for the facility build, such as power or cooling capacity, nor has it provided details about the end-user or target application for the data center outside of its general classification as a technical facility.
