TierPoint unveils next-gen private cloud platform with VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0 for advanced data center workloads and disaster recovery

TierPoint has announced the availability of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.0 across its hosted private cloud solutions. According to TierPoint, VCF 9.0 introduces a unified platform designed to support diverse applications—including traditional workloads, artificial intelligence (AI), and containerized applications—with consistent operations, governance, and control within private cloud environments.

Key technical features highlighted include native integration of Kubernetes and container management using vSphere Kubernetes Service, enabling users to manage both virtual machine (VM) and containerized workloads on a single platform. TierPoint claims that VCF 9.0 provides enterprise-ready support for AI, machine learning (ML), and other advanced workloads. The platform also includes policy-driven, zero-trust security designed to meet enterprise and regulatory compliance standards.

For disaster recovery and resiliency, VCF 9.0 incorporates VMware Live Site Recovery (VLSR), which TierPoint says offers faster recovery options and improved resilience for hybrid cloud deployments.

TierPoint reports it currently manages more than 700 VMware-based clouds, and notes its team holds a large number of VCF 9.0 certifications, including a staff member with the Broadcom Knight Certification in VMware Cloud Foundation—an advanced recognition that requires hands-on deployments and documented management of VCF environments.
