Beale Infrastructure to develop $1 billion data center campus in Tulsa County

Beale Infrastructure has announced the groundbreaking of its new data center campus, Project Clydesdale, in Tulsa County, Oklahoma. According to Beale, this initiative is backed by a planned $1 billion capital investment and is being developed in partnership with Tulsa County and the State of Oklahoma. The company reports the project will deliver technical upgrades to the regional power and water systems, and add significant digital infrastructure capacity.

For Project Clydesdale, Beale details public infrastructure upgrades including enhancements to the Washington County Rural Water District 3 water lines and system improvements for the Public Service Company of Oklahoma’s transmission and distribution system. The planned scope includes increased regional reliability for utilities serving the data center, which will be critical for operations requiring resilient uptime and capacity.

The company states that the build-out will create up to 100 permanent technical jobs at the new facility, in addition to thousands of construction roles during the initial five-year construction phase. Beale notes that it develops data centers across North America in collaboration with top global technology companies, aiming for sustainable designs and close cooperation with local utility providers on additive generation and infrastructure strategies.

According to Beale, Project Clydesdale is intended to meet expanding digital requirements and reflects a commitment to sustainability, directly benefitting the data center sector in Oklahoma through improved utility infrastructure, grid reliability, and technical workforce development.
