Heilind adds Molex SideWize high-voltage connectors for space-constrained power shelves and ESS racks

Heilind Electronics has announced the addition of Molex SideWize High-Voltage Connectors to its portfolio of high-power interconnect solutions. The company positions the connectors for space-constrained, high-power designs where power density, electrical safety, and installability are key constraints in next-generation equipment.

Molex SideWize Connectors use a right-angle architecture intended to maximize power transfer in constrained environments. Heilind reports electrical ratings up to 80.0 A and 1,500 V per UL 4128, targeting high-voltage, high-current power-distribution applications while supporting denser power architectures without increasing heat generation or installation complexity.

Heilind says the SideWize family includes a touch-proof, finger-safe design and low-halogen materials for global use. It also notes mechanical and serviceability features aimed at tight build envelopes, including elimination of cable bend-radius constraints, color-coding, positive locking, and 360° cable rotation to simplify mating and reduce cable wear. For chassis interfaces, Heilind reports IP67-rated sealed bulkheads.

In data center power infrastructure, Heilind lists SideWize for data-center power shelves and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) equipment, in addition to ESS racks. Other named applications include electric vehicle (EV) charging systems, industrial automation, and other high-voltage modules.
