Batchelor & Kimball selects MISTRAS for advanced inspection in data center projects

MISTRAS Group has announced a partnership with Batchelor & Kimball to provide specialized inspection and quality assurance services for data center construction projects. The partnership brings MISTRAS’ non-destructive testing technology to B&K’s mechanical and plumbing installations for complex data center environments.

Under the agreement, MISTRAS will deliver advanced inspection services including Ultrasonic Shearwave Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Phased Array Callout, and Computer Radiographic Testing Callout for Batchelor & Kimball’s data center projects. MISTRAS says the services are designed to ensure that new data center facilities operate with high reliability, structural integrity, and safety.

The companies report that their combined expertise will address the unique demands of data center construction, where uptime and rapid delivery are crucial. While other sectors like oil and gas, aerospace, and manufacturing are also served by MISTRAS, the focus of this partnership is on the expanding requirements of large-scale data centers.

“Partnering with Batchelor & Kimball brings together two industry leaders with complementary strengths,” said Gennaro D’Alterio, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, MISTRAS Group. “B&K’s track record of navigating and solving the most complex mechanical system challenges with precision and speed, combined with MISTRAS’ advanced inspection and data-driven solutions, ensures that data centers are not only brought online quickly, but are built to operate safely and efficiently for years to come.”

“Data centers push the limits of mechanical systems, and that’s where our team thrives. By joining forces with MISTRAS, we’re taking that problem-solving mindset one step further, ensuring every facility we deliver is backed by the highest level of inspection and assurance,” said Danny Collazo, Corporate QA/QC Manager, Batchelor & Kimball.
