Liquid cooling validated for hyperscale racks in Wiwynn–Shinwa collaboration

Wiwynn and Shinwa Controls have entered a strategic collaboration focused on server liquid cooling infrastructure for cloud service providers, following three years of joint engineering work, validation, and co-development. The companies are targeting next-generation data center cooling requirements driven by higher rack power density from AI and HPC deployments.

The collaboration pairs Wiwynn’s cloud server and rack architecture with Shinwa Controls’ thermal control technologies, including high-efficiency Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) and coolant distribution systems. The companies describe the resulting liquid-cooling infrastructure as “production-ready” and designed for global CSP environments. Shinwa Controls also points to work on low-GWP refrigerants/coolants and low-power system designs.

Over the past three years, the two companies completed multiple validation cycles intended to verify that Shinwa’s thermal infrastructure operates in synchronization with Wiwynn’s high-density compute racks. For data center engineering teams, that kind of co-validation matters because DLC isn’t just a cold-plate spec—it’s a mechanical, fluid, controls, and serviceability problem that has to work at rack scale without introducing leak risk or operational complexity.

Wiwynn CEO William Lin said, “With Shinwa’s technical precision and robust manufacturing capabilities, we are accelerating the deployment of liquid cooling technologies to support the industry’s most demanding hyperscale applications.” Shinwa Controls CEO Takuji Yamamoto added that validating Shinwa’s thermal systems alongside Wiwynn’s products “allowed us to refine our technology to meet the highest possible standards of efficiency and uptime.”

In describing the collaboration, the companies highlighted three areas: three years of collaborative testing and deployment architecture aligned to major CSP frameworks, mechanical and fluid-dynamic integration between Shinwa cooling hardware and Wiwynn server configurations, and a focus on efficiency improvements intended to reduce auxiliary energy consumption and carbon footprint.

Wiwynn said it provides computing, storage, and rack-level solutions for data centers, including high-volume L10/L11 rack delivery, with manufacturing across Taiwan, the US, Mexico, Malaysia, and the Czech Republic. Shinwa Controls is positioned as a supplier of high-precision liquid cooling infrastructure with roots in thermal control practices used in semiconductor fabrication environments.
