Navitas has developed a 24 kW, 800 V-to-12 V DC-DC power delivery board (PDB) with NVIDIA, targeting 800 VDC power architectures for AI data centers and support for the NVIDIA MGX ecosystem. The board is designed to deliver 12 V at the compute tray level and to sit close to xPUs to reduce power-delivery losses.
The 800 V-to-12 V PDB is specified for 24 kW output with a target efficiency of 97% at full load and a power density exceeding 2,000 W/in³. Navitas built it to NVIDIA’s 400 mm × 60 mm form factor and says it can be integrated onto the compute motherboard “as close as possible to the xPUs,” with the intent of minimizing distribution losses while supporting higher power demand at the tray.
Architecturally, the board uses a single-stage conversion path from 800 VDC directly to 12 VDC. Navitas describes this as eliminating an existing 50 V-to-12 V intermediate bus converter (IBC) stage, delivering 12 V straight to the voltage regulator module (VRM) feeding the xPU. For operators, fewer conversion stages can translate to less wasted power and fewer hot components concentrated in already dense compute zones, but it also concentrates a lot of conversion work into one board that has to be cooled and serviced like any other tray-level part.
On the primary side, the design incorporates 16 NV6034 GaNFast FETs, specified as 650 V and 18 mΩ, configured in a stacked half-bridge topology. Navitas says the FETs use its dual-cooled DFN 8 × 8 package.
“Our collaboration with NVIDIA is breaking the AI infrastructure power wall by reimagining power delivery from 800 VDC to the GPU,” said Chris Allexandre, president and CEO of Navitas. “This next-generation 24 kW solution demonstrates how GaNFast technology can eliminate power-conversion stages, increase efficiency and power density, and bring power closer to the GPU.”
Navitas also pointed to an earlier 800 VDC board built with NVIDIA: a 20 kW, 800 V-to-6 V PDB. The new 800 V-to-12 V PDB is planned to be shown on NVIDIA’s AI Factory MGX Wall partner display area at OCP Global Summit 2026.
