MulticoreWare plans to join Qualcomm Authorized Design Center program for on-device AI optimization

MulticoreWare has announced plans to collaborate with Qualcomm Technologies as an AI Software Authorized Design Center (ADC). MulticoreWare says the goal is to help automakers and enterprises scale artificial intelligence (AI) workloads from proof-of-concept to mass-scale production on Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon Digital Chassis solutions, with a focus on meeting edge-device power and thermal constraints.

MulticoreWare says it will address “last-mile” AI deployment work needed to move models into production, including model porting, model quantization, and heterogeneous compute optimization. The company says this effort is intended to bridge research and development AI models and scalable commercial embedded deployments, targeting reliable performance for high-demand workloads on edge devices.

In automotive deployments, MulticoreWare reports it works with leading automakers to deliver production-grade Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) on Snapdragon Digital Chassis. MulticoreWare also says it optimizes Generative AI workloads, including large language models (LLMs) and Vision Transformer models, for efficient on-device performance.

“We look forward to joining the Qualcomm Authorized Design Center Program, a move that formalizes our long-standing history of driving optimal compute performance on Snapdragon Digital Chassis platforms,” said Vish Rajalingam, VP and GM, Mobility and Transportation BU at MulticoreWare. “By combining Qualcomm Technologies’ industry-leading AI stack with our specialized capabilities in model porting and performance tuning, we can help empower our customers to scale their next-generation intelligent devices, while accelerating time-to-market more efficiently than ever before.”

Beyond automotive, MulticoreWare says it will focus on enabling high-performance AI at the edge across robotics, embedded and consumer Internet of Things (IoT), and client and data center compute industries by optimizing models for Snapdragon platforms.
