LiquidStack reports 300 MW order for CDU-1MW liquid-cooling units for US data center sites

LiquidStack has announced a 300-megawatt order of Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU) capacity from a major US-based data center operator. LiquidStack says the multi-site order will support AI-ready data center deployments, reflecting rising demand for scalable liquid cooling for high-density AI workloads.

LiquidStack reports the order is for its high-capacity CDU-1MW platform. The company describes the CDU-1MW as designed for rapid deployment, high performance, operational efficiency, and future scalability in next-generation data center environments.

LiquidStack says the customer is a long-established US operator with a growing portfolio of AI-ready facilities, and that it selected LiquidStack as its liquid-cooling partner to expand AI-ready, high-density infrastructure. LiquidStack also notes its manufacturing and delivery capabilities are intended to support accelerated fulfillment and aggressive build-out timelines across multiple sites.

LiquidStack says its CDUs are engineered to integrate with direct-to-chip and hybrid liquid-cooling architectures, with the goal of providing precise thermal control, high availability, and simplified operations. It also reports providing design, manufacturing, deployment, and lifecycle services for its liquid-cooling solutions.

“Orders of this size signal a clear inflection point for liquid cooling,” said Joe Capes, CEO of LiquidStack. “Operators are committing to liquid cooling as core infrastructure for AI, and LiquidStack is uniquely positioned to support that transition at scale.”

LiquidStack adds that the announcement follows recent momentum including its inclusion on NVIDIA’s Recommended Vendor List for CDUs, an expansion of its manufacturing capacity in Carrollton, Texas, and increasing adoption of its CDU platforms for AI and accelerated computing workloads.
