Chroma has named ProGrAnalog as its sales representative for LoadSlammer in the Americas, expanding regional coverage for the company’s electronic load and power-test portfolio.
The move centers on LoadSlammer, which Chroma lists within its electronic loads lineup alongside products such as the Pactiv-R “AI GPU and FPGA Load Simulator,” modular DC electronic loads (6310/A and 63600 series), benchtop DC electronic loads (63000 series), high-power DC electronic loads (63200A series), regenerative DC electronic loads (63700 series), high-speed regenerative DC load systems (63700H series), and AC load platforms (63800 and 63800R series). Chroma’s broader catalog also spans programmable DC power supplies (including 62000-series families), bidirectional DC power supplies (62000D series), regenerative AC grid simulators (61800 series), power meters, LCR meters, milliohm meters and multimeters, and electrical safety/hipot test systems (Guardian and Sentry families), along with automation software such as PowerPro, BatteryPro, and CaptivATE.
For data center operators and lab teams, the practical takeaway is simple: getting the right load and power-test hardware is often as much about local application support and procurement channels as it is about the datasheet. A regional sales rep can shorten the loop on sizing, integration with rack or lab setups, and aligning test requirements to specific power electronics use cases—especially when loads, regenerative systems, and automation software need to work together.
Chroma highlights applications that include AI servers, automotive/EV power conversion, batteries (cell, module, and pack), solar/PV inverter testing, and electrical safety/compliance workflows, positioning LoadSlammer within a larger test-and-measurement ecosystem used across R&D, design validation, QA, and production environments.
