ACON Optics shows CPO connectivity and 1.6T transceivers for AI data centers at Computex 2026

ACON OPTICS (TWSE: 6820) used COMPUTEX 2026 to highlight its AI high-speed interconnect work, including Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) connectivity technologies and 1.6T connectivity products aimed at AI data center networking.

The company’s COMPUTEX showing covered CPO Connectivity Solutions, Optical Connectivity Solutions, and AI Data Center Interconnect Solutions. Across those categories, ACON OPTICS listed high-precision, high-density Fiber Array Units (FAU), detachable optical connectivity technologies, MPO connectivity products, MicroLED CPO optical interconnect solutions, 1.6T transceivers, and high-speed AOC, AEC, ACC, and DAC products. ACON OPTICS also said it is investing in high-speed optical transmission, precision optical alignment, and high-density optical connectivity technologies.

For data center engineers, the CPO angle is the practical takeaway: pushing optics closer to the switch ASIC raises the bar for optical alignment, packaging interfaces, and serviceability. Detachable optical connectivity and dense fiber-array packaging are exactly where integration risk shows up first, especially when operators are trying to scale bandwidth without exploding front-panel density and cable management complexity.

At COMPUTEX, ACON OPTICS highlighted high-precision, high-density FAU and detachable optical connectivity solutions intended for emerging CPO architectures. The company also demonstrated a MicroLED CPO optical interconnect solution developed with Brillink and PlayNitride, combining MicroLED light source technology, optical packaging, and high-density optical interconnect architectures.

Outside of CPO, ACON OPTICS presented AI data center interconnect options it described as designed for AI servers, high-speed switches, and large-scale data center deployments, including MPO connectivity products, 1.6T transceivers, and AOC, AEC, ACC, and DAC solutions. ACON OPTICS also showed automotive optical transmission technologies targeting infotainment systems, ADAS, and autonomous driving applications.

“AI infrastructure is driving a new era of demand for advanced optical connectivity solutions,” ACON OPTICS said. “We remain committed to advancing high-speed optical transmission, Co-Packaged Optics, precision optical alignment, and high-density optical connectivity technologies while expanding global partnerships and supporting the next generation of AI infrastructure.”
