CDM launches modular AI data center platform from 750 kW to 6 MW blocks

Compu Dynamics Modular has expanded its modular AI infrastructure portfolio with a set of factory-built building blocks aimed at rapidly deploying high-density power, cooling, and compute capacity for AI training, inference, and HPC. The platform is designed and built in the US and is structured to scale from sub-megawatt modules up to multi-megawatt “AI factory” configurations.

The portfolio spans a 750 kW All-In-One Module, 1.5 MW and 3 MW configurations, and a 5 MW to 6 MW Turnkey AI Factory. Compu Dynamics Modular says the repeatable architecture is intended to let customers deploy smaller increments now and expand toward 10 MW, 15 MW, 50 MW, and larger AI campuses as demand grows.

At the module level, the 750 kW All-In-One Module combines IT, power, and cooling in a single deployable footprint and is targeted at edge inference and space-constrained deployments. The 1.5 MW Base Module is described as the core building block, pairing high-density IT white space with a dedicated 2 MW critical power module and hybrid cooling. The 3 MW AI Modular Solution combines two physically connected 1.5 MW base modules into a contiguous data hall, supported by two dedicated 2 MW power modules.

For larger deployments, the 5 MW Turnkey AI Factory is specified at 5 MW nominal IT load, scalable up to 6 MW. It supports configurations up to 64 high-density IT and network racks (depending on workload and rack power requirements) and uses a “4-to-make-3” electrical architecture with 8 MW of installed UPS capacity.

Compu Dynamics Modular’s standardized architecture supports hybrid air and direct-to-chip liquid cooling, along with resilient electrical topologies, dynamic load stabilization, and vendor-neutral integration with chip, IT, power, and infrastructure OEMs. For data center engineers, the practical appeal here is in repeatability: if the blocks are truly standardized and factory-tested, that can reduce site variability and compress the path from design to commissioning for AI capacity additions.

Ron Mann, Vice President of CDM, added: “These aren’t simply prefabricated data halls. Every solution is engineered around the application workload and the power, cooling, and resiliency requirements that come with it.”

Compu Dynamics Modular says the modules are fully integrated and factory-tested for rapid site installation, Level 5 commissioning, and ongoing lifecycle support.
