ConnectM acquires site in Odisha for AI-enabled data center and logistics hub

ConnectM Technology Solutions has announced the acquisition of Geo Impex & Logistics Private Limited, providing ownership of approximately 76 acres of land near Chhatrapur, Odisha, India. The site is located 700 meters from Chhatrapur Railway Station and about five kilometers from Gopalpur Port, with state-level industrial approvals and preliminary government and environmental clearances for building a multimodal logistics park and an AI-enabled data center campus.

ConnectM’s subsidiary, Keen Labs, will develop the site as a keystone asset. The planned Energy Intelligence Data Center (EIDC) will combine distributed energy assets—including Amperics hybrid-battery technology—integrated with Keen Labs’ AI and industrial Internet of Things (IoT) platforms to form a low-carbon solution for logistics, power, and data operations. The location also allows for dedicated rail-siding integration, supporting multimodal transport for dry cargo, refrigerated freight, and industrial logistics.

ConnectM states that within Keen Labs, Geo Impex will support a new product vertical aimed at AI-assisted logistics and infrastructure optimization. This initiative will use machine-learning models for cargo flow forecasting, route efficiency optimization, energy resource coordination—including Amperics-based battery systems—for port and data center operations, and cost reduction across the ecosystem.

“By combining infrastructure cleared for industrial development in India with our AI energy-technology stack and new battery tech, we’re creating a new blueprint for sustainable industrial growth — where logistics, energy and intelligence sit on the same platform,” said Bhaskar Panigrahi, CEO and Chairman of ConnectM.

ConnectM reports that this acquisition expands its presence in India’s infrastructure market and establishes the foundation for its AI-driven energy and industrial solutions business in the region, with direct applications for data center operators and hyperscale logistics providers.
