Eagle Eye Power Solutions has launched the TALON Series of AC load banks, expanding its lineup for testing, commissioning, validation, and maintenance of critical power systems in data centers and other mission-critical environments. The TALON platform groups the company’s AC load bank offerings under a single series aimed at applications that range from localized UPS testing to multi-megawatt commissioning work.
Eagle Eye Power Solutions has supplied AC load banks for data center and critical-power applications for years, and its DC load banks have been used for battery testing and commissioning programs in utility, telecommunications, industrial, energy, and related markets. TALON is intended to standardize the AC side of that portfolio into what the company describes as a scalable, purpose-built platform, supported by application engineering, field support, and technical education.
The TALON Series is organized into three product families with different form factors and capacity ranges. TALON Nest covers compact 4–20 kW rack-mounted load banks targeted at UPS systems, integrated power systems, and localized testing. TALON Edge includes portable 100–600 kW resistive load banks for generator testing, switchgear, power distribution equipment, and commissioning. TALON Apex scales to high-capacity systems with up to 5 MW of resistive loading for large commissioning efforts in data centers and other mission-critical infrastructure.
Across the line, TALON models are offered in single-phase and three-phase versions, with resistive, reactive, and combined resistive-reactive configurations available. For engineers planning commissioning workflows, that configuration breadth matters because it determines whether you’re validating just kW capability and heat load, or also exercising kVAR behavior that can expose issues in alternators, UPS output stages, controls, and upstream distribution under more realistic electrical conditions.
TALON load banks use nickel-chromium resistor elements and are operated via push-button controls. Eagle Eye Power Solutions also lists rugged construction and optional PC-based automation and data logging. Brian Jurkiewicz, President of Eagle Eye Power Solutions, said, “The TALON Series brings together our established load bank experience and broader critical-power expertise in one complete platform.”
