EdgeMode and Vertical Data partner on 20 MW Sweden AI data center project

EdgeMode has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Vertical Data to jointly market and deliver a 20 megawatt data center development in Sweden. The project is specifically optimized for artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads, as reported by EdgeMode and Vertical Data.

This collaboration combines EdgeMode’s Marviken Smart Energy Cluster—offering 95 megawatts of renewable power, immersion cooling up to approximately 180 kilowatts per rack, and district heating integration—with Vertical Data’s AI-cluster design, GPU and server supply, and flexible financing options through its GPUFinancing.com platform.

According to the announcement, EdgeMode will deliver space, power, immersion cooling, network connectivity, and managed services from its Sweden-based facility. Meanwhile, Vertical Data will contribute AI-optimized GPU servers, design tailored AI clusters, and offer financing solutions to support customer deployments.

The companies will co-develop marketing materials, host informational webinars, and participate in industry events to promote their joint solution. The offering is targeted at global AI and HPC customers seeking scalable and sustainable compute infrastructure. Both companies will present a unified technical and commercial solution to streamline customer adoption.

Simon Wajcenberg, CFO of EdgeMode, said, “This partnership represents a major step forward in delivering next-generation AI infrastructure that is both high-performance and environmentally responsible,” adding, “By combining our renewable-powered data center capabilities with Vertical Data’s AI hardware expertise and financing solutions, we can provide an unmatched value proposition for AI and HPC clients worldwide.”

Christopher Creatura, CFO of Vertical Data, noted, “AI workloads require not only advanced technology but also innovative business models to make them accessible,” and continued, “Through this collaboration, customers will have access to cutting-edge GPU clusters, flexible financing, and a world-class facility in Sweden—allowing them to scale faster and more efficiently.”

The Memorandum of Understanding described in the announcement is non-binding, and further progress is subject to negotiation and execution of definitive agreements.
