Modine launches compact cooling systems for edge data centers

Modine has announced the release of updated Computer Room Air Conditioner (CRAC) and Air Handler (CRAH) product lines for North American edge data centers under its Airedale by Modine brand. The new solutions address demand for compact, flexible, and energy-efficient cooling systems designed for space-limited edge and small data center sites.

The EdgeDX series is a high-efficiency CRAC offering cooling capacities from 30 kW to 95 kW in a compact footprint with flexible airflow configurations. Modine notes that EdgeDX uses low Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerants and exceeds US Department of Energy efficiency standards.

EdgeAire is a modular CRAH system designed for cooling capacities from 50 kW to 300 kW. The unit supports whole-site optimization by combining space-saving architecture with advanced airflow and energy-saving control technologies. Both EdgeDX and EdgeAire are standardized for modular deployment, simplifying integration and system selection. Modine supports its products with a North American sales and service network.

Art Laszlo, Group Vice President, Global Data Centers at Modine, said, “Our U.S.-based manufacturing strategy ensures supply continuity and rapid response,” adding, “As a full-system provider of air and liquid cooling solutions with intelligent controls across the thermal chain, Airedale by Modine is uniquely positioned to support the fast-paced evolution of the data center industry.”

The EdgeDX and EdgeAire systems will be showcased at Booth 209 during Yotta’25, taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada, from September 8 to 11, 2025.
