Accuenergy has announced the AcuDC 260 Series, a new line of revenue-grade direct current (DC) power meters designed for applications in high-voltage infrastructure, including electric vehicle fast charging, energy storage, and data centers. The lineup consists of the AcuDC-261, which meets Measuring Instruments Directive (MID) and Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB, Eichrecht) certification for Europe, and the AcuDC-262, a UL-certified model for North America and international markets.
Both models measure direct DC voltage up to 1,000 volts with 0.1 percent accuracy and support dual DC current channels with 0.2 percent current accuracy. Additional technical features include support for shunt or hall effect sensors, bi-directional energy monitoring, cable loss compensation and integrated data logging for auditing and diagnostics. Data communications are enabled via Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP/IP for integration with energy management systems, SCADA, DCIM, and cloud platforms.
The series meets EN 50470-4 Class C and IEC 62053-41 Class 0.5 revenue-grade accuracy standards, enabling smooth integration with charger controllers, energy management systems (EMS), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, data center infrastructure management (DCIM), and cloud platforms.
“As DC infrastructure expands globally, customers need metering solutions that deliver accuracy, transparency, and regulatory confidence,” said Vahid Behjat, Head of Product at Accuenergy. “The AcuDC 260 series provides a unified, revenue-grade DC meter that supports compliance EV charging in Europe and scalable deployment worldwide, helping manufacturers and operators bring products to market faster and operate with greater trust and efficiency”.
What it means for data center engineers:
For data center engineers, the launch of Accuenergy’s AcuDC 260 Series marks a step forward in precise DC power measurement and infrastructure transparency as DC distribution and high-voltage DC PDUs become more prevalent in modern facilities. Traditionally, data centers have relied heavily on AC metering, but the shift toward DC-centric architectures—driven by power-dense IT loads, battery storage, and renewable integration—requires revenue-grade, high-accuracy DC metering to support load balancing, energy accounting, and operational diagnostics.
The AcuDC-260’s accuracy, bi-directional measurement, integrated data logging, and Modbus/SCADA/DCIM connectivity gives engineers more reliable visibility into DC power flows, enabling improved efficiency optimization, fault isolation, and compliance reporting across complex DC power chains. By enabling standardized, certified measurement with robust communications and logging, it can help streamline commissioning, performance benchmarking, and integration of DC power systems with energy management platforms
