Skanska secures $105M contract for data center build-out in Virginia

Skanska has announced an additional contract valued at $105 million with an existing client to complete the construction of a data center in Virginia, US. This contract will be included in Skanska’s US order bookings for the fourth quarter of 2025.

The project scope includes the interior build-out of three remaining data halls, each measuring 4,300 square meters. Upon completion, the total data center footprint will be 22,800 square meters. Skanska reports that the work is in progress and is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2027.

This expansion is targeted at data center applications, contributing additional capacity for hyperscale and colocation deployments, according to details in the announcement.
